walk it out

This kid loves being outside! I now know why people hate running, it is really hard when you haven't done it in awhile! I stopped running pretty early in my pregnancy because it just didn't feel good and then I used the "it is way too hot" excuse until just last week. So almost ONE YEAR later I am out running again and feeling sore, but feeling oh so good. It is a win-win because I get to exercise and Leo sleeps, both make for a happier afternoon.
This is Leo about five minutes into the trip, out for the count. Anyway thanks again to my wonderful parents for the best running stroller around! Now that we are out of the 100 degree weather I am using it all the time and loving it so so much.

3 months

Our cute little boy is three months old today! He loves to smile at us, make crazy sounds, stand up with us helping him, play on his tummy, suck on his hands and blanket, look at himself in the mirror, and play with Dad when he gets home from work. Being a mom can be pretty draining after a long day, and here I am with only one! I am so grateful to have a helpful and supportive husband by my side and I realize now how amazing it is when someone does it on their own. I love the two boys in my life more than words!

Leo is almost 3 months old and I am still amazed that I have a baby. You'd think a 39 week pregnancy and then three months of caring for him would help it to sink in, but I am still in awe that I am a mom to this sweet boy. Sometimes it is difficult, but a lot of the time it is wonderful. Leo has already taught me great lessons of patience, sacrifice, and true love and I know that the lessons will keep on coming! I love this boy so much!

Lovely Labor Day

We spent Labor Day weekend with my amazing parents and darling sister Emma. It was the first time my dad and Emma had met Leo and it was so special! We had a great time with them here and Leo loved being held every minute of the day.

snuggle time with Nana
We took a trip to Fredricksburg for the day, we looked around at all the cute shops, had a delicious lunch, and topped it off with homemade fudge.

This was Leo's personal recliner for the weekend.
I loved having my family here and it was sad to see them leave! We are hoping when Chance graduates in December that we will be able to find a job closer to home because we just have way too much fun when we are all together.
