Spring!

We are having such a great spring here in Yuba City. We are loving the warm weather and longer days.

My OBGYN's office is next to a great park in Sacramento, and so we always make a trip out of it and stay for several hours. Leo loves to watch the ducks and this last time we went there were ducklings everywhere!
We went to Bidwell park in Chico a few weekends ago and had a great time. It has beautiful trails for miles and a big playground for kids. The park was great and we found a delicious pizza place down town for dinner.
I am 19 weeks pregnant and feeling great these days. I was very sick in the beginning just like I was with Leo, but that ended around 14 weeks and life has been beautiful ever since! I am seeing my mom's OBGYN who delivered my littlest sister Emma and he is amazing. He is very supportive of me having a VBAC and I am really hoping all turns out for the best with this delivery.
We went to my parent's house for our church's general conference and Leo had the best time. He loves the space, the yard, the basketball hoop out front, all the extra love and attention, and of course Lucy. I love this little boy more than I ever thought possible. I can't believe he is going to be two this June! He is learning so much every day and I love watching him grow.

Leo lately

Making dinner, he will give you a taster if you say please!
Hay ride - I love fall so much
Leo is an unconventional slider
Playing catch with Elder Oaks during General Conference
Bedtime stories
Pumpkin farm with friends

Leo is my favorite little guy in the whole world. He loves spaghetti, dancing, greek yogurt, eating food with his own spoon, the "hotdog" song at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, dogs, pumpkins, when Daddy comes home, Skype sessions with family, being outside, and chocolate chips. He hates getting his diaper changed, getting dressed, coming inside, and cats. I love his developing personality and how he is learning more every day and man he is just so cute I can't get enough!

15 months

Leo turns 15 months this Saturday and I just love this kid more every day. Some of my favorite things about Leo right now are...

When Chance gets him up in the morning and brings him out into the kitchen and he squints his eyes because of the bright lights, but just has this huge smile on his face.

How we dance to my ipod after a run, one earphone in his ear, one in mine and we just groove.

How he grabs my purse and keys and heads for the door waving bye bye, about 20 times a day.

When we play catch. It just doesn't get old... he loves to throw the ball back and forth and is becoming quite the catcher.

How he loves me to read books to him. His favorites right now are Brown Bear (always been a fav), Time for Bed, and a few picture books of animals. He LOVES animals!

How he does the cutest barking sound anytime we see a dog, or any other animal for that matter, and when we call Nana and she mentions Lucy.

His car sound whenever he picks up a toy car. It is adorable every. single. time.

When we get to a curb or stairs and he reaches for my hand to help him.

How he says "hi" every time I look over my shoulder to back out of a parking space.

His speed walk/run. So stinking cute.

Wow... this list could go on and on the more I think about him. I love my little guy so much.

Leo always has his hand down my shirt... not the best habit.

29 and so fine

We had a fun weekend celebrating Chance's birthday. We did some shopping for him at the outlet mall, had a yummy dinner at BJ's with my parents and sister, and played outside at a park until the sun went down. Sunday we got together at a park with some friends for the famous chocolate chocolate chip cream cake and ice cream, I love summer nights and my man!

one year ago...

One year ago today our sweet baby Leo came into this world and what a year it has been! I have experienced and grown so much since that day, in ways I never knew were possible. After my c section, my teeth would not stop chattering and my whole body was so tense from the surgery and numbing medicine. I'll never forget when Chance and Leo came into the recovery room and I was able to hold Leo for the first time - my whole body was calmed. Looking into those perfect and innocent eyes, I knew that he had come straight from my Heavenly Father. I have had to recall those feelings throughout this first year during the late nights, early mornings, and tears
to remind myself of the great blessing and responsibility of being a mother. I love my little boy with all of my being and I love how he has enhanced my love for Chance and my understanding of eternal families. Happy first birthday Leo!

I love Leo

I adore this baby boy, 10 months never looked so good. We laugh so much together, I love it. He is always on the move, always with something in hand. He gives the best open mouth kisses, snuggles, and makes the funniest sounds.
I love doing his hair every once in awhile, he is just the cutest thing.
He takes two naps a day, about an hour and fifteen minutes each, but the other day he slept for over 2 hours and this is what he looked like when I walked into his room. Priceless!
He loves being made into our bed in the morning, he just sits there and giggles as I tuck him all in.
We visited the Jelly Belly Factory a few weekends ago with some friends, it was fun and delicious!
Leo and his buddy Liam in the belly flops - yes we bought 3 bags to get 2 free!

life lately

We have had some exciting changes in our life the past few months. After graduation Chance went into study mode for his physical therapy board's exam for the month of January. We were able to live with my amazing parents and little sister Emma for this in-between stage and I can honestly say I loved every day. Having three extra sets of arms with a baby is fantastic. Chance also had several interviews during this time and received his dream job offer the day before his exam - talk about pressure to pass! He passed his test and accepted the offer the beginning of February, but didn't start work until March in order for us to have some time as a family and prepare for the move. He is working in an outpatient, orthopedic clinic and loving every minute. We are still getting settled here in Yuba City, but things are going great so far. Here is to the start of a new chapter in our lives!
8 months! Crawling and pulling himself up on everything.
Bath time has become a battle because he does not want to sit still - he always has to be climbing!
watching the Bok Kai parade with Dad
9 months!

I can't believe my little baby turned 9 months a few days ago. He just gets cuter everyday. He loves playing peek-a-boo, hide and seek, going outside, cruising around our couch looking for cell phones or remotes, eating, blowing bubbles with his lips, and reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear. He all of sudden hates getting his diaper changed and getting dressed, the strength of a 9 month old baby is truly amazing!
